Selling and Buying a home has been a surprising, yet effective reminder of the Already/Not Yet eschatological construct.

A solid contract, a price paid in earnest, looking forward to living in a place that will be yours, yet sleeping somewhere else. Of course its not a perfect analogy but enough to make you smile a few times a day during this process.

If all goes well, the house swap should be completed by December 5th. Should be an interesting Christmas.

I highly recommend the ESV for personal study and readability, if you’re looking for a great Bible, or for a textual equivalence bible to complement your dynamic equivalence (NIV) Bible.

This looks like a great commentary and a great line up of contributing authors. According to Amazon, the title is due out November 1, 2007.

Dr. Francis Beckwith has resigned his position as the president of the Evangelical Theological Society beacuse of his recent conversion to Catholicism. This is quite a move of integrity. Beckwith blogs about his decision here.

RTS has recently joined the list of colleges to use the iTunes system as a way to distribute coursework and promotional media. If you have iTunes installed, you can launch the RTS content by following instructions at the RTS on iTunes U page.

Noted old testament scholar Meredith Kline passed away last night. Kline was a professor of OT at WTS in Philadelphia. Kline’s studies have been a great benefit to Biblical and Covenant Theology. A page devoted to his works can be found here.
