Whither Kindle? My $.02

Kindle v1.0Kindle is pretty neat. However, I’m not sure the consumer experience for books needs a problem solved quite like the iPod solved a problem for the music consumer.

On the other hand, It sure would be easier to move 400 books to a new house if they were all in one device, but wheres the fun in that?

Congratulations Brent & Belinda

Brent & BelindaMany congratulations to Brent (my brother) & Belinda on their wedding. A beautiful ceremony & a great time. It was good to have both them both in Memphis for a few days! An Irish blessing for you both:

May your pockets be heavy and your heart be light, May good luck pursue you each morning and night.

Walls for the wind, and a roof for the rain, and drinks beside the fire.
Laughter to cheer you and those you love near you, and all that your heart may desire!

May the gracious God hold you both in the palm of His hands.
And, today, may the Spirit of Love find a dwelling place in your hearts.

The Already and the Not Yet in Selling & Buying a Home

Selling and Buying a home has been a surprising, yet effective reminder of the Already/Not Yet eschatological construct.

A solid contract, a price paid in earnest, looking forward to living in a place that will be yours, yet sleeping somewhere else. Of course its not a perfect analogy but enough to make you smile a few times a day during this process.

If all goes well, the house swap should be completed by December 5th. Should be an interesting Christmas.
